Much of the proposition is free of charge but where we do need to charge we ensure that we use our combined buying power to achieve outstanding value. For example members can buy a website just like this one for a fraction of the price it would cost to purchase it independently.
One of the key aspects of modern marketing is content, in other words having interesting, professional articles to send to clients and prospects. Compass members receive a free quarterly newsletter that can either be e-mailed or posted to a database. All of the stories from these newsletters are then placed in our content library where they can be dropped into an e-newsletter, posted to a brokers website, or used in a social media campaign in the click of a few buttons.
In many brokerages the responsibility for marketing falls to someone who has not been formally trained but does have the enthusiasm to move the business forward. Later this year we will be launching a programme of training and practice groups so these individuals can learn how to use the tools we provide our members with. We will also be covering marketing strategy and helping members create marketing plans.
Our marketing proposition is headed up by Howard Robinson, who has over 15 years marketing experience and 7 years experience working directly with commercial insurance brokers, visiting and working with over 80 businesses throughout the UK.
